I’ve always wondered, why doesn’t anyone ever think about death? It hardly ever comes to the mind of most people. Most people are just obsessed with their goals/money and don’t even consider death a possibility until they’re put in danger. But, I for one have always been paranoid of dying and have avoided putting myself in dangerous situations as much as I can.
Death makes me so anxious and nihilistic. Because if it ends at the end of the day, was there a point to life in the first place? If so, better to simply not exist in the first place.
Ever since I was a small child my dad would always read me science fiction books about time travel and space. It brought in a lot of imagination to my feeble mind and made me decide I was going to be a scientist! I wanted to invent something that could truly improve human lives, at first flying came to mind but we already have planes but then I thought “What if we could live forever!?”. I know it’s still a long way ahead but just what if?
Imagine how many things I could learn; how many people I could meet; how many things I could create — the possibilites are endless!
So, let's not die.
But in the unlikely event that I do die. I’ll try to make sure I live forever in people’s memories by creating as much impact as I can. Whether through people’s lives or what I build — having an impact will make me immortal in people’s consciousness. So let’s try to do something meaningful, though not just meaningful to myself, but to other people as well.
